Pet Spotting at Valley Veterinary Hospital
You may have noticed that we have a full staff of pet ‘helpers’ and greeters here at Valley Vet. Harrison, CCEO (Chief Cat Executive Officer) of the practice, likes to bask in the sun by the door, or play paperweight on the counter, a position he has held since 2001. He also likes to surprise dogs by blending in with our black chairs and not moving until they sniff him.
As many of you may recall, Harrison became diabetic several years ago, and then was quite sick, spending a long time hospitalized at Dove Lewis. Thanks to the support of many owners who brought pets in for baths and made donations, and kept him in their thoughts, Harrison pulled out a miraculous recovery. We originally thought Harrison was born in 1997, but we think it more likely now that he was born about 1992 or so, which explains the distinguished grey hairs peppering his black coat. He gets insulin twice a day and looks forward to greeting you on your next visit.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our clinic cat, the sweet Scottish Fold with the funny meow, Moira. She celebrated her 16th birthday December 4th, and passed on January 26, 2007 after a brief illness. Moira had been our clinic cat since November of 2001, and was greatly loved by all.
