Lifelong Wellness for Your Pet

Here at Valley Vet Hospital, we're not only committed to making your pets better if they're ill, but also to help you keep them well and fit. Whether your pet is a newborn kitten or puppy, in the prime of life, or in their elder years, we have a program for them. Valley Vet proudly offers you the latest vaccine recommendation of the AAFP.

Puppy Wellness
Valley Vet recommendeds your puppy have its first vaccination and exam at 8 weeks of age. Boosters and additional vaccinations occur at 11 and 14 weeks. Spaying, neutering, and microchipping are recommended at 6 months of age. For a complete list of vaccinations and schedules, click here.

Kitten Wellness
Valley Vet recommendeds your kitten have its first vaccination and exam at 8 weeks of age. Boosters and additional vaccinations occur at 12 and 16 weeks. Spaying, neutering, and microchipping are recommended at 6 months of age. For a complete list of vaccinations and schedules, click here.

Junior Dog Wellness (Ages 1 to 7)
Recommended annual healthcare starting at 1-1/2 years of age includes a comprehensive physical exam, intestinal parasite exam, and a heartworm test. DHPP vaccines are given every 3 years and Bordetella vaccines are given as needed, annually. A Rabies vaccine is required every three years in Oregon. Internal and external parasite prevention is recommended year 'round.

Junior Cat Wellness (Ages 1 to 7)
The latest protocols include a complete kitten series followed by boosters every three years. Annual recommendations starting at 1-1/2 years of age also include a comprehensive physical exam, an intestinal parasite exam and any necessary vaccinations.

Senior Wellness (Ages 7 and above)
We want to help your senior dog or cat stay active, healthy, fit, and young. Today we have both the knowledge and the tools to help your older pet live a happier, healthier life. Senior dogs and cats, like aging people, have special health care needs. Our Basic Wellness Plan is a yearly exam and series of blood tests designed to provide a special standard of care for senior pets and to help make your dog or cat's senior years more rewarding. For a complete list of these tests, click here.
